Taking a cue from her main man Justin Bieber, who's movie Never Say Never documented his rise to fame, Selena Gomez has forayed into the world of comics to document her own meteoric rise. Out in September, "Selena Gomez: Young At Heart" will tell the story of Selena's childhood through her Disney days, leading up to her current life status as like,one of the most famous pop stars ever.
In its full form, "Selena Gomez: Young At Heart" will be a 40-page graphic novel featuring art by famed comic book artist Joe Phillips and writing by Marc Shapiro. "Writing about Selena Gomez was a revelation," says Marc. "She has a legitimate drive and commitment to make it to the top. Yes, she's cut from the same mold as Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus but I was able to see, in researching her story, that she has real grit and smarts."
See, now here I thought selling a ton of records, dating the most famous dude around and headlining your first big tour means you've made it. But actually, it's when you get your own comic that you know you're big!
